About Us:<\/b><\/u> 
DEFEND is a volunteer-run international nonprofit dedicated to reducing the risks for children and vulnerable people online. We aim to make the internet a safer space for all through advocacy, education, and innovative technology solutions.  <\/p>\n

Role Description:<\/b><\/u> 
As a Committee Member on our Management Team with DEFEND, you will play a key role in guiding our organization, ensuring that our mission remains central to all decisions. You\u2019ll work closely with other committee members to oversee our long-term goals, help develop project plans, and make incremental progress toward their realization.  <\/p>\n

Key Responsibilities:<\/b><\/u> 
– Participate in weekly virtual meetings via Zoom to discuss goals and strategies  
– Provide oversight and guidance to ensure projects align with DEFEND’s mission  
– Collaborate with teams across the organization, including Tech, Advocacy, and Education  
– Help make decisions on program direction and organizational growth  
– Ensure that all actions taken are in the best interest of protecting children and vulnerable people online  <\/p>\n

Qualifications:<\/b><\/u> 
– Passion for making the internet a safer space for children and vulnerable individuals  
– Experience in management, strategy, or nonprofit governance is an asset  
– Strong communication and collaboration skills  
– Ability to commit to weekly Zoom meetings and incremental project involvement  <\/p>\n
