How to spot FAKE NEWS

August 6, 2022

We are all acutely aware of Donald Trump and the presence he has had on social media. He was banned from Twitter and other social platforms in January 2021 for a risk of incitement of violence. During his presidential campaign and time in public office, he would often throw around a term of “fake news”.

The term is not uncommon and Trump certainly didn’t coin the phrase but it gained popularity while he held presidential office in the United States. Wikipedia defines misinformation as: “Incorrect or misleading information” while disinformation is information which is “deliberately deceptive.

How can you tell when the news you’re looking at is deceptive or fake? Check out the infographic, and let us know on social media what you think.
